Future Plan

Alambagh Workshop has planned to increase the outturn from 130-140 coaches as per enhanched target fixed by railway board during the xth plan. To meet the target aproposal for creating additional infrastructural facilities like extension of birthing capacity in lifting shop. Construction for shed for of repair of AC Coaches and improve the general working condition by providing Hardonite flooring, Heavy repairs to road surfaces, Drainage etc have been proposed. To improve the methodology and Technological upgradation various M&P item like Press Brakes, Phosphating Plant etc, Spray printing facilities have also being proposed under preliminary works programme 2005-06 under finalization at Railway board. The total estimated cost of the projects is Rs.886 Lacs.
